At John XXIII College, we believe that every student deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and inspiring residential environment—regardless of their financial situation. Our scholarships and bursaries program is designed to help remove financial barriers and ensure that cost is never a reason to miss out on the full college experience.

We strongly encourage students who are passionate about contributing to the College community, but are concerned about financial affordability to get in touch. Our goal is to support as many students as possible in their pursuit of academic, social, and personal growth at John XXIII College.

Leadership Scholarships

The College offers over 50 leadership-based scholarships awarded to residents who take on key roles in our community. These include:


  • Senior Residents (SRs)
  • Academic Mentors (AMs)
  • Heads of Charity
  • Residents’ Association (RA) Executives
  • Cultural, Social, and Sporting Representatives


These positions not only provide financial assistance but also encourage students to grow as leaders, develop professional skills, and contribute meaningfully to college life.

Scholarships

John XXIII College - CEF Scholarship offer two CEF supported students a 50% accommodation scholarship, easing the financial burden of relocating for university and ensuring they have a secure and supportive place to live.


Eligibilty

The eligibility requirements for the John’s CEF Scholarship are as follows: 

• You have attended school in or currently live in the region covered by a local CEF foundation. Find your local CEF location.

• You must apply/have applied to CEF by October 31st and be eligible for a local foundation grant. Apply here - https://cef.org.au/apply-now-registered/

• You must complete the John XXIII College application and be willing and able to cover the full college fees if unsuccessful. 


EQUITY BURSARIES

We offer needs-based bursaries to support students experiencing financial hardship. These bursaries help cover accommodation fees and are awarded confidentially to ensure dignity and respect for each applicant. Equity bursaries are assessed on individual circumstances, and applications are welcomed from both new and returning students.

FIRST NATIONS BURSARIES

John XXIII proudly supports various First Nations Bursaries, prioritising aspirational students who may be studying at ANU, UC or ACU and are eagerly wantng to contribute to the life of the College
