How to apply

1. Register Online

All new students need to register and apply online through StarRez our Housing Portal  Register Here.


2. Application Guidance

There are two parts to the application process on StarRez.

  • Part 1 is all about you – personal & contact details, medical & dietary and Academic details. Once you have completed Part 1, you will receive a confirmation email and link to Part 2.
  • Part 2 is a questionnaire sent to our Student Services Team to help support your transition to residential life. Both parts are a compulsory component to progressing your application.


3. Submit Documents

Submit the requested supporting documents including references via email: admissions@johnxxiii.anu.edu.au


4. Receive Your Offer

Offers will be sent via email. Please ensure you use a current (non-school) email address. To accept your offer, you will be directed back StarRez.

For ANU Students

To apply for residence at John XXIII College, prospective students must submit an online application through the ANU University Accommodation Services (UAS) Portal. This portal is the central system for applying to all ANU residences, including Halls, Colleges, and Lodges.


When completing your application, you must list John XXIII College as your first preference. To complete your application to our College, you will also need to submit additional supporting documents directly to John XXIII College.
